Why We Want You

As a member of the VCA team, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. The TA position is a steppingstone into Veterinary Medicine and this on-site entry level position will introduce you to all aspects of the vet med field. This position also includes sanitization, disease/infectious control, safety, and housekeeping responsibilities that will aid in both your professional and personal facets.

Technician Assistant Duties:

  • Feeding
  • Walking
  • Lifting animals or items
  • Assisting Technicians and/or doctors on spot
  • Cleaning cages
  • Sanitization
  • Disease/ infection control
  • Housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc.)
  • Upkeep(restocking and refilling)
  • Maintenance
  • Fear-free practice
  • Multitasking
  • Organization
  • Assessing animals' behavior
  • After-care

Compensation: $16 - 18 / hour dependent on skill set, and experience
