Salary/Position Classification

• 18.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 19 hours per week

Purpose of Position

We are looking for a part-time pharmacy intern for the summer to cover for pharmacy techs who are taking vacation over the summer.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receiving and confirming prescription orders
• Preparing and filling prescriptions
• Managing inventory and performing organization tasks
• Processing patient payments
• Locating, dispensing, packing, and labeling a prescribed medication for a patient
• Helping pharmacists with administrative tasks such as processing insurance claims, tracking inventory, and filing paperwork
• Helping health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.

Required Competencies

• The ability to communicate effectively
• Strong organizational skills

Minimum Requirements

• Intern Licensing from North Dakota Board of Pharmacy
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
