Job Summary

Beacon Hill's client is seeking a skilled communicator with a proven track record of building relationships and leading communication projects with internal stakeholders, including human resources. This role involves managing strategy, creating content, handling projects, and supporting our human resources function. They are looking for someone who can lead communications, and has the desire and experience to collaborate across their team and with key stakeholder groups. This position reports to the director of internal communications.

This role is a hybrid contract position starting from end of April going till the end of August based out of Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a collaborative member of the communications team to support the chief human resources officer and the human resources function by executing and developing communications to inform and engage employees.
• Create and manage communications strategies and projects, including writing, graphic design, and leveraging internal channels (intranet, email newsletters, etc.), while measuring their effectiveness.
• Develop and promote in-person and virtual events for employees, including establishing objectives, identifying metrics, and reporting results.
• Plan, prepare, and repurpose presentations to inform employees.
• Understand and represent enterprise strategies and priorities in all communication efforts.
• Follow and help refine editorial and approval processes to ensure content aligns with business objectives, adheres to editorial style guidelines, and meets brand standards.

Minimum Qualifications (required):

• Experience providing executive support and company-wide communications for human resources.
• Experience with writing, content development, and communications project management for global companies, including measuring effectiveness and engagement.
• Familiarity with creating and managing content across digital platforms (intranet, mobile, email).
• Experience creatively interfacing with other departments, such as marketing, human resources, government affairs, legal, finance, and/or sales teams.
• Proven ability to operate independently and execute flawlessly at both strategic and tactical levels.
• 9+ years of working in Communications.
• Bachelors degree in Communications, Jounalism, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graphic design skills (Adobe InDesign, etc.) to create or modify graphics and images in support of our editorial strategy.
