The Testing Services Department Coordinator reports directly to the Testing Services Manager. This position has primary responsibility for the operations at assigned Testing Centers and for actively assisting with the development and support, of the goals and initiatives of the Testing Services Department.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with testing companies, faculty, Assessment Program Specialists, and appropriate federal, state and professional licensing agencies to coordinate and maintain testing programs offered through the Learning Assessment and Testing Services Department.

Train staff of the importance of testing security, accurate administration, observant proctoring and appropriate communications.
Schedule staffing of Testing Centers along with the volume of exams to be offered to ensure optimal services to all stakeholders.

Responsibility as Test Site Administrator for designated certification programs.

Contribute to the ongoing process of the onboarding and training program in collaboration with other Testing Services staff members.

Provide training on procedures, practices, trouble-shooting and test administration for those exams delivered through the Learning Assessment and Testing Services Department and external testing programs as assigned.

Review alternate placement assessments, evaluate reading exemptions and assist with payroll.

In collaboration with other Testing Services Department Coordinator(s), organize other functions of running an office such as phone and chat coverage, supply orders, security of test materials and employee engagement activities.

Conduct goal setting and evaluation of personnel directly responsible to the position.

Provide counter coverage and administer exams as needed.

Comply with state, federal and local rules, regulations and contracts as they apply to testing programs and offerings of the Learning Assessment and Testing Services Department.

Observe principals of good practice as defined by the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-secondary Test Centers.

Assist in the development, implementation and supervision of goals and objectives for the department.

Assist in the development of the department budget.

Attend staff meetings, in-service workshops and professional development opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum two years' experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing required. Experience in a post-secondary
institution preferred.

Two years' supervisory or project management experience highly preferred.

Experience in academic or commercial testing services; utilizing and supporting testing information system and technologies.

Ability to travel between campuses, work evenings and week-ends.

Knowledge of and skill working with historically under-served student populations.

High technological aptitude with demonstrated experience working with common and current computer operating systems and software applications such as Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google apps.

Able to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced and complex environment with accurate attention to detail and exemplary customer service.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to ask probing questions to get to the root cause.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.

Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
