The Entry TIG Welder role is responsible for independently setting up equipment, fixtures, and tooling to join weldments together to drawing specification.

What We're Looking For:
  • Welds 100% of miscellaneous parts in assigned department to standard.
  • Operates weld machine (i.e. Power on, function controls and gas settings).
  • Understands wire types and can identify and correct defects.
  • Understands how to correctly use the following functions within AS400 programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.)
  • Utilizes and maintains Drawings, Non-Cad Process Sheets, B.O.Ms, Fab to Order and Operating Instructions.
  • Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
  • Understands and follows scrapping guidelines set by Quality Assurance.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Completes all required work in each station within expected time requirements with excellent quality.

  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Need:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1- 3 years of TIG welding experience.
  • Must have completed HP Weld Training Course and passed welding test or, has previous Tig Welding experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.
  • Good Vision (ability to see intricate details).
  • Good hand-eye coordination (Manual Dexterity).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiple, and divide)
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, AS400, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable).
