JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary
Perform duties to maintain and improve tool crib inventory, storage processes, and storage locations to support maintenance and production activities.
Essential Functions:
The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at Mauser Packaging are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any / all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list:

  • Maintain inventory of machine parts, die tooling, materials, supplies, and tools.
  • Ensure that all parts issued from the storeroom are assigned to a Work Order including non-stocked parts.
  • Work with Vendors to facilitate necessary repairs or returns.
  • Receive items, verify to purchase order, enter, and place in inventory.
  • Perform structured cycle counts on specified frequencies.
  • Maintenance parts documentation (BOMs, etc.) from OEMs and other suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue quote requests to update parts costs in eMaint.
  • Maintain component warranty in eMaint.
  • Review inventory and place requisitions to restock parts.
  • Submit requisitions for non-stocked parts.
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Communicate with other Mauser plants to obtain 'common', critical parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Scope:
  • Reconcile parts 'removed' on off-shifts and weekends.
  • Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.
  • Assist in maintenance data entry and record keeping.
  • Maintain and improve on inventory management processes.
  • Associate parts to equipment assets in eMaint.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Over 6 months of inventory management.
  • Over 6 months of data entry or record keeping.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions. Simple reference use of prints, parts diagrams and vendor catalogs. Use adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and tape measure, where interpretation is required.
  • Ability to exercise some judgment, comply with instructions and prescribed routines, methods or procedures, involving the making of minor decisions.
  • Must comply with quality, PPE requirements for safety and understand the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
