Your Role:

The Traffic/Logistics Coordinator will support EMD Electronics by handling all transportation and logistics aspects of our domestic and international orders from our 3PL Distribution Center. There will be constant communication via email and phone between internal Logistics, Customer Service & Trade Compliance as well as external 3PL, Domestic Carriers and Ocean & Air Freight Forwards with a focus on workload priority. Day to day internal coordination and communication with Supply Chain, Trade Compliance and Warehousing regarding the status of Import Shipments.

  • Freight Payment Audit and processing with 3rd Party Vendor and Accounts Payable
  • Support daily outbound 3PL operations, ensuring Sales Orders are shipped on time in full
  • Interact with Customer Service troubleshoot sales Orders to create outbound deliveries
  • Investigate Root Cause of orders shipped late from the 3PL
  • Troubleshoot issues with EDI transactions
  • Support new system implementation designed to track and trace inbound and outbound shipments

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in shipping logistics or transportation logistics
  • 2+ years of experience with Freight Forwarders regarding Air & Ocean exports and imports
  • 2+ years of experience using Secure COAs, SDS, labels and barcodes

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience with hazardous materials/shipping regulations (DOT CF49, IMO, IATA)
  • Experience working with a 3rd Party Warehouse provider
  • Experience Monitor Deliveries/Outbound Shipments
  • Documentation experience with paperwork required for exporting material out of the US
  • Strong understanding of INCO terms
  • Familiarity with systems (SAP, ACE, AES)
