Job Summary: High school education or GED; a minimum of two years paid work experience as an Arborist or Tree Trimmer. Demonstrated ability to drive and safely operate a hydraulic lift bucket truck. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and in Essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Additional Requirements: Must be able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice. This position will often require long days, on your feet, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying. Over 8 hour days may be required based on the condition of the grounds and campus event schedules. This position will be required to work during all climates of weather, hot, cold rain, etc., depending on season.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: May be required to supervise a crew of 1-6 employees and provide necessary training, may act as lead worker. Must meet regular attendance requirements. Must accomplish the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner. Closely observes and adheres to all safety rules and regulations as listed on product and equipment labels and as directed by management. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Must be able to work on-call. Position may be required to work early hours, weekends, and holidays. Must have a valid Class B CDL.
Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with university policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
