Position: TRIO Program Coordinator (Grant Funded)

The Project Coordinator will be a lead liaison and advocate for student participants and provide individual advising and counseling to participants, as well as coordinate program initiatives and services in alignment with the scope of the grant to ensure optimal retention and success outcomes

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advising/counseling to participants & develop individual development plans
  • Assist with student selection and gathering project and participant data
  • Coordinate retention initiatives and programming consistent with Student Success Services
  • Participate in relevant college committees that in achieving the Student Success Services goals
  • Trains and supports staff including interns, student workers and specialists
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology or related field.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in providing counseling and guidance to students who are economically and/or academically disadvantaged preferably in a higher education setting. Experience with managing day to day operations and ability to coordinate/schedule workshops.

Starting Salary: Commensurate education and experience
