SUMMARY

Controls and coordinates all ULD movements system-wide. Coordinates and communicates with vendors for repairs of unserviceable equipment and vendors of new equipment. Responsibilities and requirements are listed as follow:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, but not limited to:

  • Data input of all pallets arriving on MIA inbound flights.
  • Control of all inter-stations’ pallet movements.
  • Ensure that all Out-Stations comply with established ULD Control procedures.
  • Trace and track ULD’s.
  • Out-Stations inventory and overstock control and coordination with Load Controlfor the return of overstock to MIA.
  • Control of pallet stacks movement.
  • ULD inventories; MIA and system-wide.
  • Coordinate and communicate with OAL to return other owners’ equipment,or to retrieve Amerijet equipment from other carriers.
  • Control of leased equipment.
  • Inspection of serviceability of equipment as per FAA regulations.
  • Coordination of in-house repairs.
  • Coordination of repair damaged ULD’s by external vendors.
  • Keep records of damaged ULD’s and places of occurrence.
  • Daily report to Supervisor and Manager of ULD Control activities.
  • Some fork-lift driving is part of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/MEASUREMENTS;
  • Ensure to keep all Stations' inventories updated.
  • Ensure that all relevant transactions in the system are performed in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with established procedures and enforce compliance system-wide.
  • Active communication with other Stations and Departments within the Company.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Basic computer knowledge

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training required
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service background in place of direct of the required experience may be considered
  • Valid driver license and clean driver records required

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
  • Must have good attention to detail, this includes continuously monitoring shipments from the point of receipt to delivery
  • Must be familiar with computer programs, i.e.; Microsoft Office, AES, although some training will be offered
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional etiquette in person, over the phone, and in written communication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

Job duties include but are not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting (including wrists), reaching below and overhead, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing. Warehouse climate conditions are subject to change without notice.

At times may work with or near moving mechanical parts (i.e.: cooler, dock equipment), in high precarious places (i.e. ladder work), and cold/hot climate conditions. Ability to work in moderate and loud noise environments including, but not limited to: computers, paging, telephones, human voices, sound system, and machinery.
