Zurich is currently hiring an Underwriting Account Service Associate to join the Underwriting E&S Wholesale Department. This opportunity can be in either our Atlanta or New York Zurich office. As an Underwriting Associate you will support and work closely with experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks. Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities are required in this position. Underwriting Associates are charged with a variety of tasks including: Working collaboratively with Zurich's rating team. Communicating directly with underwriters via phone and email. Evaluating exposures/controls, evaluating loss history and assessing financial condition, for basic to moderately complex business. Issuing endorsements and handling billing issues. Bachelor's degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance area Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance area High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance area Knowledge of data collection and analysis Microsoft Office experience Preferred Qualifications: Insurance industry knowledge Knowledge of processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry Strong verbal and written communication skills Customer service experience Detail oriented Multi-tasking skills At least 2 years of wholesale property insurance experience.
