This Unit Assistant position is Full Time Days.
Schedule: 7:00a - 7:00p, 3 12 hour shifts per week. Days of the week vary with every other weekend rotation.

Department overview:
The Ronnie Green Heart Center (CVICU) is an 18-bed in-patient unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. The unit provides comprehensive care to cardiac/vascular/surgical patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. Patient care in the CVICU includes early detection and prevention of complications, management of complex physiological problems, patient/family education and family psychosocial support systems. The unit's focus is patients requiring cardiac and vascular surgery, TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement), Mitral Clips, ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy), ventricular assist device (VAD), IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), and advanced ventilator management.
Job Summary:
A non-licensed, staff member who is trained to be flexible in a variety of nursing support and transport duties. Performs a variety of clinical tasks including, but not limited to nursing units, cleaning and stocking of patients' rooms and other unit areas, and direct patient care within the scope of defined practice. Functions under the direct supervision of the shift primary nurse. Cares for patients in the adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures.
