The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the Program Coordinator for Graduate & Executive Education - Nashville. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please see the job specifics below and if you have any questions, please email careergateway@utk.edu.  Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.    The length of assignment is 5 months.The work schedule is Part-Time, Monday-FridayThe pay rate is $18.00/hour

We are looking for a part-time program coordinator (6-8) hours per week who will aid in targeting and recruiting of participants in non-degree graduate programs out of the Nashville area.  Individual can be Knoxville based, but will work closely with the GEE Director out of Nashville. 


Qualifications
In coordination with the Director of Graduate and Executive Education (GEE), the part time (6-8 hours per week) Program Coordinator is responsible for targeting and recruiting of participants in non-degree graduate programs; program administrative duties, and for executing on the following responsibilities:

•    Develop a detailed understanding of the GEE mission in Knoxville and Nashville, non-degree, and certificate programs and communicates this information to prospects
•    Develop a detailed understanding of the typical, nontraditional UTK student, who is likely a busy adult with a career and family interested in furthering their education to meet professional goals
•    Participate in phone calls, zoom meetings, and email communication to recruit participants to meet program goals
•    Assist participants with completion of registration and invoicing
•    Maintain accurate program information on website 
•    Develop an understanding of recruiting materials needed to reach specific target vertical markets in the Nashville and Knoxville territories
•    Assist in developing new centers of influence within the vertical markets and nurture long-term business relationships to create a pipeline of future potential candidates
•    Serve as a liaison to develop partnerships between the Haslam College of Business GEE and other organizations throughout the state and surrounding states
•    Assist in organizing programs and events designed to promote community awareness of non-degree and certificate programs
•    Create and maintain a database of prospective and current participants and/or potential participants
•    Respond to inquiries from prospects, organizations, and contacts in a timely manner
•    Ability to communicate effectively with professionals in the C-Suite including the CEO, President, and Executive Assistant
•    Perform administrative duties pre/post/during programs including but not limited to ordering certificates, ordering plaques, scheduling speakers, making reservations, securing logistic information, and interacting with photographers, food vendors, security, and IT professionals
•    Attention to detail and excellent customer service a must
•    Occasional travel to Nashville could be required
•    Perform other related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed
