As a Value Selling Coach for North America, you will be a trusted business partner to our SVP of Sales in North America, their leaders, and the Enterprise and Strategic teams they support.

This is an exciting new individual contributor role within the Sales Excellence team at Alteryx and is an ideal opportunity for a creative and experienced Value Selling Coach, who has previously implemented and coached best practices to drive the adoption of Value Based Selling. Our Value Selling Coaches will report to the Director of Sales Excellence and partner with a strong support network of Program Managers and Curriculum Designers to design, build, administer, and reinforce training programs.

Primary coaching topics will include, Account Planning, Deal Coaching, Competitive Selling skills, Getting to the C-Suite, and High Impact Communication Skills. This role also encompasses coaching our Sales Leaders and helping them drive their teams' cadences and utilize data analytics to coach and improve performance.

A good candidate for this role must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They should be extremely flexible, proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and demonstrate an ability to be a self-starter and get the job done! Partnership, collaboration, and the willingness to align closely with the sales organization are critical.

Roles/Responsibilities:


  • Assess, build, and drive forward a structured enablement plan (in partnership with Sales Excellence and with agreement from Sales Leadership) and be responsible for its execution. Leverage data to review the impact of all sales coaching with sales leaders and iterate on improvements throughout the duration of the training program

  • Enable MEDDPICC & the Alteryx Sales process, ensuring 100% adoption across the North American region, typically through deal coaching sessions, deal reviews, and/or deal inspections

  • Facilitate successful completion of Territory and Account plans with reps for inspection and additional guidance by Sales Managers

  • Bring together the extended teams (Partners, Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Strategic/Technical Alliances) to ensure Enterprise and Strategic reps are maximizing these resources to land big and plan for expansion within accounts

  • Contribute to building role-based learning paths, tools, and interactive programs as part of the North America Sales Excellence team

  • Work closely with Solutions Marketing and Sales Excellence to design verticalized enablement programs that build on the core knowledge and competences of sellers so they can navigate and sell successfully in the assigned vertical

  • Influence as a Subject Matter Expert the e-learning and coaching content for the region, ensuring regional nuances are incorporated in our content and coaching platform, Showpad

  • Provide Specific direction on enriching the new hire onboarding process for the region, working with global counterparts and other Sales Coaches in the North America Region.

  • Coach new hires in simulated and live environments as they transition from their onboarding program into client-facing interactions

  • Serve as a field evangelist and subject matter expert for initiative-based learning (e.g. introductions of new products, messaging, techniques, or sales methodologies) for reps and first-line managers


Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of 'hands-on delivery' of impactful sales enablement programs & sales leadership programs that drive measurable results at the Enterprise and Strategic Level. Virtual training knowledge is a plus.

  • Been a senior level individual contributor or sales leader in software sales or have a strong track record of sales enablement in the industry.

  • A passion for BI/ Analytics and a solid understanding of how Digital Business Transformation occurs and progresses, and how it affects customers and the selling environment.

  • Must have demonstrable experience in coaching a sales methodology (MEDDPICC preferred), enabling the value selling process, and the creation of sales enablement programs that focus on competitive differentiation and execution.

  • Deep knowledge of selling into verticals and driving customer success and adoptions

  • Strong interpersonal skills, enjoy inspiring teams, and excel at building relationships while fostering teamwork

  • Planning and organizational skills with attention to quality around detail and outputs

  • Excellent communication skills, including training presentations and the facilitation of workshops

  • Showpad knowledge not required, but a plus
