Job Description
MV Transportation is seeking a Vice President / Corporate Counsel to perform the following job functions:

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, including customer agreements, lease agreements, equipment/vehicle purchase and lease agreements, vendor agreements, subcontracts, services agreements, and consulting agreements.
• Assisting with M&A matters, including diligence, analysis, and document drafting.
• Supporting the sales team in evaluating risk and identifying issues in requests for proposals and customer contracts.
• Providing analysis and strategic advice with respect to contract disputes; assisting with settlement negotiations and preparation of settlement documentation.
• Assisting with the Company's corporate governance function, including maintaining corporate records (minutes/resolutions, stock ledger, etc.).
• Managing contracts administrator and assisting with the redesign of contracts database and related functions.
• Performing other related duties and assignments as needed.

• Well organized; capable of executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Team oriented; can collaborate across organizations and functions.
• Ability to work well with both senior executives, as well as rank and file employees.
• Ability and willingness to help out as needed in other areas.

Talent Requirements:

• JD degree from accredited law school.
• Five (5) to eight (8) years law firm or in-house experience.
• Some initial training in a law firm is strongly preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice in Texas.
• Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
