SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Merchandising reports to the Senior Vice Operations and is responsible for developing objectives, policies, and procedures for the merchandising of goods encompassing all non-perishable and perishable functions organization-wide. Responsibilities include; coordinating with other senior management members to reach overall company goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and manages merchandising functions at store level, ensuring sales, units sold, out-of-stock and inventory goals are met consistently.
• Develops, implements, and improves stores layout and merchandising strategies for both perishable and non-perishable functions.
• Works closely with purchasing team and store associates in implementing merchandising strategies.
• Develops and manages merchandising training programs.
• Develops merchandising methods that help build customer loyalty and expand customer base.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years minimum in an operations management role required.
• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong knowledge of food retailing.
• The ability to develop good relationships and maintain communication with other departments and stores within the organization.
• Strong planning and time utilization skills.
• Have implemented sales increase initiatives.
• Have implemented comprehensive merchandising programs.
