Description of Position
Volunteers are individuals who donate their time and services for Yavapai College and are not paid as employees. It is understood that the nature of the work to be performed is voluntary, provides no compensation or benefits with the exception of worker's compensation. Assignments are 'at will' and may be terminated without cause or a statement of reasons at any time and without prior notice by either the volunteer or the supervisor, or other College administrator.
Service as a volunteer does not provide any right for future employment and/or subsequent compensation. Volunteers assist with projects and special events in the areas of:
Athletic EventsCareer and Technical Education CenterChino Valley Agribusiness CenterCommunity Education/College for KidsFacilitiesFamily Enrichment CenterInformation TechnologyLibraryOsher Life Long LearningStudent DevelopmentVerde Valley CampusOther (please specify)CONSIDERATIONS:
Volunteers
cannot be issued keys to College facilities, drive College or personal vehicles during the course of their volunteer work, and receive/disburse College funds. Supervisors will be responsible for training volunteers and this training must be completed prior to a volunteer assignment. Students may not supervise volunteers

- Previous volunteer experience
- Education/experience in area of interest
- Work experience in a community college/higher education environment
