Position Purpose:
Coordinates all aspects in the daily on-time shipment of units to customers and the shipping/receiving of goods into the facility. Ensures accurate records are kept. Facilitates shipping and receiving work in accordance with TS16949, and safety systems. Ensures activities of the Plant and Off-site shipping/receiving and aftermarket meet policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:

• Oversee shipping arrangements to include, but not limited to, scheduling carrier; evaluating economic method; and determining routing and load limits.
• Review daily shipping and receiving priorities; check priorities using sales report, production schedule and hot sheet; and communicate and work collaboratively with internal customers.
• Supports practices to maintain a safe, clean, orderly, cooperative and positive work environment through the administration of the Company's and the plant's policies; safety rules and regulations; employee handbook provisions; and programs of lean manufacturing and safety.
• Coordinates work of after-market, parts box area, receiving and shipping associates. Notifies Materials Manager of disciplinary issues.
• Develop and coordinates a returnable container program working with our internal buyers and our external suppliers.
• Maintain the DRI metric for aftermarket and suspensions. Track reason codes for late shipments. Work with Customer Service, Quality, Materials, and Production to identify root cause and put processes in place to avoid repeat issues and in accordance with plant DRI goals.
• Maintains metrics report expedited outbound freight by reason code and customer. Support the cost of freight goals of the plant.
• Audit the DockR and Midohio9 reports and develop similar reports for Aftermarket, 1H220 and WTS. Audit shipping and receiving documents against procedures for accuracy.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory integrity through transaction accuracy of the department. Work with Materials Coordinator to support the cycle count goals of the plant.

• Ensure accuracy of paperwork, computer transactions, packaging, and proper ID of parts.

Essential Functions Cont.:

• Train employees on shipping, receiving and aftermarket techniques according to Hendrickson best practices. Develop backup staff to ensure coverage in key areas of receiving and shipping.
• Maintain order in the rear parking lot storage and coordinate the removal of scrap hoppers with the scrap vendor.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

• High School diploma or GED required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Five to Seven years of warehouse, shipping or receiving experience requiring data entry.
• Communication skills both written and verbal.
• Computer Literate.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.
• Frequently need to position self to lift miscellaneous items.
• Frequent movement of hands, wrists, and fingers such as typing, filing, and writing.

Environmental Conditions

• Frequent exposure to office designated area.
• Seasonal exposure to extreme heat.
• Minimal atmospheric exposure.
