Description

SAIC is looking for a Windows Systems Administrator to join our ISMC IT Team.

Responsibilities:   Design, deploy and maintain Windows based servers in a production environment. Provide administrative support for the applications that are installed on these servers. Work as a member of the Systems Administration team in supporting the infrastructure as deployed at all locations, utilizing VMware as the base platform for all deployments. Support of enterprise level applications, including VMware, Exchange, Microsoft Systems Center, MSSQL and Sharepoint, along with relevant AWS and Azure Cloud offerings. This position will be expected to participate in all security processes, from security patching to vulnerability remediation, along with the annual disaster recovery tests. Willingness to learn new technologies and to maintain skills in current offerings.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a computer discipline and 2+ years of experience, additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

Required Skills:  Proven working experience as a Windows server administrator.   Hands-on experience with Windows server standards, enterprise storage systems and enterprise applications.   Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, system security, data integrity and monitoring of installed applications.   Knowledge with system design, documentation and scripting.   Previous experience with VMware, and at least one of the enterprise level applications.   Problem solving skills and ability to think logically. Must have strong communication skills, and be a motivated self-starter.

Security Clearance: All candidates for consideration must be eligible to obtain a US public trust clearance. 

Desired Skills:  Windows 2016/2019, SCCM, PowerShell scripting, VMware, IIS, MS Exchange 2013 or newer, Microsoft Sharepoint. Familiarity with Microsoft  Certificate Authority, ADFS and DFS. Understanding of Amazon Web Services, enterprise storage systems.

Preferred Certifications:  AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VCP-DCM, MS Azure Administrator.

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
