ECS is seeking a Windows System Administrator to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

Job Description:
ECS is looking for a Windows System Administrator providing support for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM!

As a Windows System Administrator, you will work with a team that provides Windows Server support for organizations at Sandia Laboratories The team maintains user environments, delivers subject matter expert support, and end-user application support.

DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITES/TASKS INCLUDE:

• Perform installations and patching of Windows Server operating systems
• Monitor systems and perform troubleshooting, tracking, resolution, routine maintenance, and security updates
• Install software and troubleshoot software install issues
• Perform system backups and provide data recovery

To accomplish this, you will need an extensive background with Windows Server administration and issue resolution along with knowledge and understanding of IT best practices and operations.

Required Skills:

• BS/BA Degree
• Proven track record of problem solving using strong critical thinking, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
• Minimum four years' experience with Windows Server in a physical and virtual environment
• Minimum four years' experience with Windows Server administration (upgrades, patching, and configuration to meet security requirements)
• Minimum four years' experience resolving Windows Server issues (setup, account management, file service, network configuration, license management, application hosting and end-user application support)
• Experience working with application vendors to understand, implement and maintain apps in a Windows environment
• Strong verbal and written customer service and communications skills
• Knowledge of, and desire to follow IT Operations best practices and procedures such as issue management and incident response
• Familiar with information security best practices
• Experience with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
• Experience writing documentation for internal processes and customer facing products and services

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Ivanti or other Ticketing Systems
• Experience with SSL Certificates
• Automation and scripting
• Experience working with Clusters
• Citrix and VMWare familiarity
